Gladio arched into the scrape of nails, breath rumbling out in a pleased sigh that halted abruptly with the tension on the harness. Pulling down like that, pulling his shoulders back, it was impossible to breathe in too deeply and he relished that for a moment.
Before he falls obediently to his knees he catches Aden's gaze in the mirror, quirking a brow and lips curling up into a suggestive smirk. Then he turns around so he can face the older man, sinking down far less graceful than Ignis might have been but still more smoothly than one might expect from a man his size. He adjusts, squirms a little as he tries to figure out where is the most comfortable way to hold that position.
Once he finds it he visibly relaxes into it, tension bleeding out of his shoulders and thighs, settling back on his heels, bowing his head and even nodding very slightly to himself. Okay, this is surprisingly comfortable.
That grace wasn't lost on or even a surprise to Aden. Gladio was a man who knew his body without question. Had trained it to it's perfection and knew every muscle with intimate detail. He had no doubt that Gladio would have the reaction time of a cat with a sensuous grace to match.
But this wasn't about Gladio's reaction time. This was about testing his body.
Running his fingers through damp curls, he gave in to the urge to tug a little. "From this point on, unless I tell you otherwise you are to be at my left side, two steps behind me. When I stop, you stop and this is the position you take. When I want a different position from you, I will put you in that position, am I understood?" He never once rose his voice or changed his tone. Just commenting on the weather, really. And telling it in no uncertain terms that his word was to be obeyed.
Aden tugs and Gladio's head lolls back with that pressure, not even a hint of resistance. Even Aden knows by now that his hair is the fastest way to get him out of his head, it's something Iggy exploits quite regularly.
There is a little hesitation in responding to those orders though, a small thoughtful hum. He nods slightly but there is a touch of uncertainty in his voice. "Yes, Sir... I'm used to being on the right. Sorry if I mess that up."
Ignis is the one at Noctis' left. Gladio always at his Prince's right. It means he will have to make a conscious effort to correct his habits here. The rest of it, two steps behind, is his usual position anyway. And this? This is pretty comfortable. Not that different from settling in for tea with the Marshal.
